Dall Sheep Ewe_4H4A2634

Dall Sheep are the world's only wild white sheep. Usually they are only seen high on the mountain tops (what we call Dall Dots!). However in the Spring and Fall they can be seen on Polychrome Pass as they prepare to migrate between the inner and outer ranges.

 

The lamb can only be a day or so old as it still has it umbilical chord attached. In the cliff photo you can see they are already able to be on tough cliffs as the one on the right is mom and lamb.
