Tortoises by the numbers

Young Galapagos giant tortoises [Chelonoidis spp.] being raised at the Charles Darwin Research Center. They will be released into the wild when they are large enough to avoid predators, Mainly the Galapagos Hawk. These guys were about six inches long.
