After a tug of war, victorious frosh parade the rope on North University Avenue, 1923.

They dunked the Sophs in the Huron River, and now the Frosh have returned to campus to crow. In the foreground are trolley tracks of the Ann Arbor Street Railway, which soon (January, 1925) will stop running, as the streetcars are replaced by buses. The building with the long shed roof over the sidewalk (a marquee of sorts) is an arcade -- which houses, among other things, the Arcade Theatre, which opened in 1914. The Theatre will vanish in 1929, following a disastrous fire -- luckily, it occurred after patrons had left for the night.
