grain elevator and trains at sunrise / General Mills Terminal Elevator

The General Mills Elevator was built in 1929. It has a capacity of 2 million bushels, or 70 million liters of grain. It stands just south of Union Equity Elevators A and B, which is seen far left in this picture. This elevator is 575 ft. long and 72 ft. wide. It has round bins west of the headhouse. There is a fading sign at the top of the headhouse which says "General Mills." The elevator appears to be vacant and not in use. It is one of the eight grain elevators in Enid, Oklahoma that consists of Enid Terminal Grain Elevator Historic District.
