Gio-ji Temple and its moss garden

Gioji Temple, Inner Sagano District, Kyoto.

 

This temple is located on the fridge of the Kyoto Basin, where the gentle slope leading Arashiyama Mountains begin. It is known as having a moss garden. The moss stays green around the year. Therefore, I didn't feel the sense of seasons just as I had been there the last time in late November.
