LITTLE EGRET (with poem)

LITTLE EGRET

 

The beautiful egret

tho rather shy

is full of grace,

full of elegance

full of dignity

 

It stands candid and alert

erect and milky white

in the grassy Longhella

surrounded by fields and hills

in water that reflects the blue sky

 

No wonder that

unlike us who have little time

the ancients and the Native Indians

honoured the splendid egret

and paid homage to its presence

 

Like the little egret

we are a part of nature too

we too must go with the flow

be in tune with its demands

be sensitive to its needs

 

As for me

I'll try to be candid too

As long as I see an egret

I feel that all is not lost

I feel there is a gram of hope

GARZETTA

 

La bella garzetta

sebbene piuttosto timida

è pieno di grazia,

pieno di eleganza

pieno di dignità

 

Sta candida e vigile

eretta e bianca come il latte

nel Longhella erbosa

circondato da campi e colline

in acqua che riflette il cielo blu

 

Non c'è da stupirsi

a differenza di noi che abbiamo poco tempo

che gli antichi e gli indiani nativi

onoravano la splendida garzetta

e resero omaggio alla sua presenza

 

Come la garzetta

anche noi siamo parte della natura

anche noi dobbiamo andare con il flusso

essere in sintonia con le sue richieste

essere sensibile alle sue esigenze

 

Per quanto mi riguarda

cercherò anch'io di essere candido

finché vedo una garzetta

sento che non tutto è perduto

sento che c'è un grammo di speranza

SEIDENREIHER

 

Der schöne Seidenreiher

obwohl ziemlich schüchtern

ist voll der Gnade,

voller Eleganz

voller Würde

 

Er steht aufrichtig und aufmerksam

aufrecht und milchig weiss

in der grasigen Longhella

umgeben von Feldern und Hügeln

im Wasser, das den blauen Himmel reflektiert

 

Kein Wunder, dass

im Gegensatz zu uns, die wenig Zeit haben

die Alten und die Indianer

ehrte den herrlichen Reiher

und huldigte seiner Anwesenheit

 

Wie der kleine Silberreiher

wir sind auch ein Teil der Natur

auch wir müssen mit dem Strom gehen

im Einklang mit seinen Anforderungen sein

sei empfindlich auf seine Bedürfnisse

 

Was mich betrifft

ich werde versuchen, auch aufrichtig zu sein

solange ich einen Seidenreiher sehe

fühle ich, dass alles nicht verloren ist

Ich fühle, dass es ein Gramm Hoffnung gibt
