Dilemma????- The space between??? HMM- 365-16

This- I LOVE! I am toying with using this for Macro Monday's "the space between

challenge. What IS the space between in this shot??? The hole left by the sequin when it was stamped out? The space left behind between the absent sequins? The view THROUGH the holes to the space behind? It is the 100th anniversary of the publishing of the Theory of Relativity. What is real here? Or is it all relative??
