Army Medical Ambulances

Army Medical Department Museum: Dedicated in 1989, the museum traces the history of medicine in the US military from the Revolution to present. A large artifact collection displays the unique and sometimes ghastly history of medical care on the battlefield. There is a large outdoor display of medical evacuation helicopters, ambulances and even a rail car. The iconic statue of a combat medic near the main entrance is a must-see.

Recently acquired artifacts contributed to the Museum through the Foundation are a 1955 Willys MD-A, M170 Front Line Ambulance, an H13 D Model (Korean War) helicopter, and a UH1 Huey from the early Vietnam War.
