Leto and her children
A procession of three deities, Leto, Artemis and Apollo, is moving toward right approaching the gate of a temple. Apollo with his kithara leant on his left shoulder opens the procession. The son of Leto is stretching forward his right arm holding a phiale. A winged Victory standing in front of him pours wine from an olpe into Apollo’s ritual pot.
A wall closes the scene. Behind it a tree and a magnificent temple with columns with Corinthian capitals. The pediment, the double frieze decorated with animals and swastikas, the corner acroteria, the shingles and other roof elements are carved with high accuracy.
