Athena “Ergane”, Mistress of Arts - I

Athena “Ergane” depicted as an artisan: the goddess, wearing chiton, mantle and helmet, models a horse in clay, probably in preparation for a casting in bronze. Some typical tools of the craftsman workshop - saw, chisel and drill - are suspended on the left.
