Caesar Type Portrait.
The expressive head of an old man is inserted on a Trajan bust with armor and paludamentum knotted on the right shoulder. The portrait belongs to the type that is usually called Caesar. Both the shape of the bust, both the age of the portrayed man make uncertain its identification as Gaius Julius Caesar. The forehead high and furrowed, the veins at the temples, the thin mouth characterize this portrait with strong realism. The quality of the work is not bad
