Christmas in the Lakes: there was one perfect day during the holiday. Christmas Eve. Clear blue skies and no wind. Elterwater looked lovely, but temperature remained at freezing all day. Luckily the coffee bar, Chesters by the River is at the end of the walk, with roaring hot log burner and a welcome cappuccino!
