Yellow rattle

Semi-parasitic on grasses, so a good indicator of a high-quality grassland in terms of botanical diversity, as it reduces the vigour of the grasses, allowing other grassland plants to flourish.

 

Seen at Brockwells Meadow, Gwent Wildlife Trust reserve.
