I love the happiness in R's face and ears! He adores running through our meadows and forests. The only thing I don't like in this photo is the way his left elbow juts outward. We still have to decide whether to do reconstructive surgery on that elbow this autumn/winter.
The hardest part is trying to figure out what R would want. My guess is that he can handle having some pain if he can still do what he loves. That's my philosophy in life, as I have lived with chronic spinal pain for far too long. I think that R and I are far more similar than anyone might think!
