Mountain Lion Kitten
365: The 2015 Edition (212/365)
A mother mountain lion (puma concolor) passed in front of my motion-activated trail camera with two kittens in tow. This photo shows the last kitten as he clambered over a rock. These kittens are very young - perhaps 4 weeks old - so they leave the den only when their mother decides to move them from one den to another. It will be fun following these kittens using trail cams over the coming months!
