Flycatcher Mother
365: The 2015 Edition (182/365)
Every year, a pair of Cordilleran Flycatchers makes a nest under our deck. We've built them a nest tray, and the mother is sitting on the edge of it in this photo. Her nest is behind her. She laid her 4th egg 12 days ago, and she started incubating on that day. So, we expect the eggs to hatch in the next couple of days. When I peeked down through the cracks in the deck this morning, the mother had returned to incubating so I don't think they've hatched yet. We have such fun watching them every year (except the year that a predator got the eggs).
