This campsite in Utah never has the greatest light for direct photos of subjects but it does have great silhouette possibilities. Indeed, my favorite silhouette photo of my Angel K was taken here. I closed her tribute video with that silhouette.
On this day, we'd had a rough day of travel, and I had the start of a migraine (a perpetual problem for me). I just sat quietly in camp for a bit as the rest of my family started to walk on the slickrock. Finally, I found the gumption to start climbing up after them, and the two dogs were so excited that my husband could barely contain them. I'm not sure he appreciated me stopping to photograph the chaos... but here it is in silhouette form!
