1957 Chevrolet Bel Air Sports Coupe - The 1957 is often described as America's favorite car and was popular on the roads, race tracks, and drag strips in the early days before becoming sought after items with restorers , hot rodders, collectors, modifiers and enthusiasts. A small number of these cars were assembled in Australia by General Motors (Holden) as standard 210 model 6 cylinder 4 door sedans, as was common for Chevrolet through the 50's and into the 60's. An even smaller number of equivalent cars in the 4 door hardtop design known as the Sports Sedan, were imported ready assembled as special orders.

This particular one was purchased by the current owner as a project car from California in 1986 and has been restored to original factory specifications, converted to an Australian right hand drive chassis with replacement firewall and dash. Options include the 'Power Pack' set up, which includes 283ci V8 220hp motor, 4 barrel carburettor and dual exhaust, external sunvisor, fender skirts, bumper overriders, heater and push button radio. It is the only known right hand drive 1957 Chevrolet with correct Powerglide transmission in Australia or elsewhere. The car was completed in October 2013.
