Celtic Knots
How to construct Celtic Knots with a 45 degree triangle and a compass and a straight-edge using The Skiadas Method. (That's me.) See other pages in album. When drawing on unlined paper , start by drawing lightly a horizontal construction line on which to establish circle centers. Erase that line later. All arc segments are parts of circles.
Concentric circle diameters around a single center are a ratio of 3 to 5. To find the centers to draw the arcs for the right angle change in direction of the path, go out from the center, 2 units, at a 45 degree angle.
