I chose the cross with the uniquely short arms as a souvenir in Mexico at the same time my dog lost the use of his 'arms'. While sitting with Jordan instead of working I notice my bird neighbors when I hardly did before, and feed them (hence the block-of-seed cage). And then...well...maybe having birds as pets who aren't actual pets is legitimate. So much grasping and containing of life so as to avoid flying. Feeding small birds brought large birds: geese.The small unthought about backyard space is the only loveable element in my immediate neighborhood.
