Welcome Back

Spring is here and the egrets are nesting in the rookery on W. Ninth Street here in Santa Rosa, California.

 

Here a Great Egret returns to the tree top. Flight is amazing, but landing even more so, The wings are in an interesting position, the tail and legs are down, and the neck is uncurling and it is making its dinosaur call to the bird already in the tree.
