Tiny Rooster
Tiny Rooster was a small male chicken who captured my family's attention for months last fall.
He lived in the parking lot of the local biker bar, a tough spot. He lived with cars and motorcycles, trash and feral cats. He had style. We watched for him every day on the way to school or shopping. Sometimes he disappeared only to reappear a few days later.
Then when it got really cold last winter he disappeared and never reappeared. We hoped that someone took him to a warm chicken yard. We also hoped that we would see him again in the spring. But it has gotten warm and he has not reappeared.
I am glad I took these pictures of him when he was strutting around the parking lot at the Wagon Wheel. Yes, I am laying flat on the asphalt in the parking lot to get these photos. More than one person walked by and talked to me about Tiny Rooster.
