Out of Alignment
Going through some older photos, I came across a yet-to-be-assembled panorama of the tessellated pavement in Tasmania I shot a couple of years ago.
When I put the panorama together I was convinced that the rock lines aligning was mere lens distortion, and so tried to fix it. After fruitlessly playing around, I looked at each individual photo closely. No lens distortion here, the rock lines actually did merge.
Despite how relatively small this 'beach' was, the lines, reflections, perfect and imperfect geometry along with crashing waves could have entertained an army of photographers for days. Fortunately, I (we) had it all to ourselves this morning.
