Thar they are!

A warm day, somewhat-not-pointy summit, and no wind coupled with a spectacular backdrop had me into 'director' mode, politely asking and not at all forcing my subjects to jump. Repeatedly.

One of them was less enthused, as you might be able to tell. And despite my pleas, only one was nice enough to take off their snowshoes. I guess it worked out, though.

I was so excited by this jump-shot opportunity that I completely forgot to alter my settings from the night shooting I had been doing earlier. So I went the whole day shooting at ISO 3200 on bright white snow and direct sunlight. And for some reason I didn't bother to check why I was at f22.

In any case, Chris properly berated me (fully deserved) and I beat myself up about it. It was quite a project to de-noise and sharpen this photo up as much as possible. While it's not as good as I would have liked, it was a spectacular day out.

On a more serious note, this was also a day where the worst thing that happened was my messed up camera settings. How I would love to go back to that time when that was my biggest worry. It has been a fairly busy couple of weeks with several developments both positive and negative. While I wish I could go back a couple of weeks, this photo reminds me of the fun times I had with my friends and partner and hopefully will have more of in the future!
