this piece is something i'm just playing with. i wasn't going to post it but since deanna posted her doodle i thought, "why not." my cloth isn't anywhere as refined as deanna's...but: the center is a woven "9 patch" and then i patched more pieces around the edge to create the circle. it is basted and there is one row of running stitch around the edge. i scanned it on my printer on graph paper and drew in a grid. what you can't see is the "stitch" marks i've drawn in - very faint. i made notes as to what stitches i might use. i'm trying this "form of visualization" the doodle. i usually just create stitch ideas in my head but karen's doodle was so wonderful...and her brain freeze at the end of her video was so endearing, i thought i'd give it a go.
