Red-capped Lark

Our final destination on the eastern South Africa trip was Wakkerstroom, a town surrounded by a unique grassland environment with lots of special birds.

We arranged a guide through BirdLife South Africa, and he took us out to find some of the most interesting birds.

This Red-capped Lark was one of many we saw that day; the real target of this site was the White-bellied Bustard, which we saw but got no photos of.
