You surely can't be contemplating

Wearing those with THAT?

And I've told you many times before

You're not to wear that hat!

 

And that's your gardening jumper

You're not to wear it out

And Red and Green should not be seen

Oh, the fashion rules you flout!

 

A grey top and grey trousers?

You really think that's cool?

No please don't swap that top for this

You'll only look a fool

 

A purple shirt and orange tie

Your outfit when we met

I wonder that we went out twice

(Did you wear them for a bet?)

 

But then you're kind to animals

We laugh at the same things

We both watch British Bake off

Nor each of us can sing

 

So let me choose your wardrobe

Then we can promenade

And no one will suspect you are

A fashion renegade.

 

This may or may not be based on me...I refuse to confirm either way...(but we're still married after 45 years...)
