The Pessimist

This is our penultimate Bonus cartoon for your enjoyment. Thanks to everyone who has taken the time to read, 'Fave' and especially comment on the efforts of Andrea and me. We'll be back for next year's Inktober, all being well. Here you go then:

 

My friends all call me ‘Eeyore’

My house ‘The Gloomy Place’

They say I am a pessimist

Well, just look at my face

 

Don’t think that I should take up golf

That’s something I don’t oughta

I’d have to shout ‘FORE!’, left and right

Or I’d hit it in the water

 

And whilst the sun is shining

I think that it will rain

I won’t go for a walk then

That plan’s gone down the drain

 

I suppose I am a pessimist

And perhaps I am a grouch

My shoulders both are rounded

That’s because I am a slouch

 

What’s that? I think knock I hear

There’s someone at the door

Someone’s left a cake for me

And look some petit four!

 

Now, there’s a note beside them

It makes me kind of glad

It says ‘For You, Be Happy’

Wow! I’m no longer sad
