Feet: Today's Lockdown 2 Cartoon by Andrea
The poem for this one may have been influenced by the Wildlife Cafe....
You probably won’t believe this
I hardly do myself
I must admit it’s curious
But I can't blame no one else
You see I ‘stepped in something’
Yes, you know what I mean
Those boots were only one week old
It made me want to scream
I suppose it was my own fault
As the animals, I feed
It started off with leftovers
As well as the bird seed
But now I have a garden full
They’re here all day and night
I went to put the rubbish out
And Did I get a fright!
I’m used to seeing badgers
Foxes and, yes, rats
And everybody’s garden
Gets visited by cats
But today there was a donkey!
He got here, tell me how
And then I turned around and, What?
Now there’s a blooming cow
That’s when I ‘stepped in something’
It was a steaming pat
I went up to my ankles
So whadya think of that?
It really was the last thing
That I thought I’d meet
So now you know just why I’m here
Standing in bare feet.
