The Geek : Lockdown 2

A slightly longer rhyme today for you to enjoy, as it's a Sunday we all should have a bit more time. As always, artwork by Andrea and doggerel by me.

 

I don’t deny I am a geek

Expert in things obscure

I know a lot of special facts

To some that is a bore

 

I know the size and measurements

And weight of this here pet

I know his habits and his haunts

Which I’ve moulded since we met

 

You may not think that’s useful

Or interesting to read

But I like to know the Latin names

And features of this breed

 

This one’s called Homo Sapiens

I’ve trained it to my whim

Because I know his habits

I have control of him

 

And if I want a walk or food

He’s powerless to resist

(I don’t let him go near a pub

He’s useless when he’s …………inebriated)

 

I have him in complete control

He’s at my beck and call

And you can train your human too

Then he’ll be in your thrall

 

It really is quite simple

You shouldn’t be surprised

You just perfect a doleful look

And he’ll be hypnotised.
