Female Sparrowhawk? (Explored #68)
This is really just a record shot for i/d purposes. I was trying to photograph butterflies in the garden this afternoon but it was too windy. I just happened to look up and this raptor flew overhead. I had completely the wrong settings and wrong lens but I managed a few shots whilst it glided overhead. It appears as just a silhouette on the RAW file but but adding a +4 exposure compensation on the processing I have managed to pull out some detail. I think it is a female sparrowhawk (?) but I'm quite prepared to be proved wrong. Thanks for looking and for all your kind comments about my blurry foxes!
