Soprano Pipistrelle Bats
Last night I took my two grandsons out to watch bats in Forest Row at an event organised in conjunction with the Bat Conservation Trust. They had great fun using the Trusts Bat Detectors and we we are to see loads of them (mainly pipistrelles) over ponds and farmland. These two are soprano pipistrelles (listening frequency 55khz if you wondered) that were skimming over the ponds on the farm. Trying to get a photo in the pitch dark wasn't easy so I took only a few so as not to disturb the bats too much. Still, you can see what they are!
