Coral Cod (Epinephelus corallicola)

An incredibly patterned juvenile Coral Cod from Darwin Harbour. This species grows to 50cm in length and as adults they are a light grey/brown colour with sparse black dots. They are mainly found in silty reefs but can swim into estuaries as well.
