Firecrest at Westhay
Well, having seen a few wonderful images of the Firecrests at SWT Westhay Moor, I thought that I would give it go. These little birds turned out to be one of the hardest subject matters I have tried to photograph. The tiny birds move with real speed through the trees hunting for insects. One second they are there, the next second gone. I arrived around 9:30 and grabbed these images before the two birds more or less disappeared. They were around either on the ground or behind branches etc and therefore I didn't get the opportunity to take anymore photographs. One word of thanks to Chris Griffen ( I think) who's excellent field craft skills allowed him to find the birds and then show me.
