laptop stand - quick DIY job

This laptop stand was made from four battens, a couple of offcuts of hardboard (in the US - Masonite, I think), a few screws and panel pins, a few pieces of twine to tie on the cables and bits at the back, felt squares to protect the desk, and a few blocks to support the center. Most of the work went into carving out the depressions for the feet.

There is plenty of space for ventilation under the computer, and a platform for storing notes. The transmitter/charger for the mouse is parked up underneath as well. When not in use, the mouse is also stored on this platform.
