peregrine falcon

100513 Atlanta - A rare male peregrine falcon named Spencer, after film star Spencer Tracy, soars over the top of the SunTrust Plaza skyscraper in Atlanta on Thursday, May 13, 2010. Peregrine falcons are the fastest flying birds of prey, with diving speeds of more than 200 miles per hour. Adults have wing spans of up to four feet and may be recognized by dark, sharply pointed winds and a long, narrow tail. Curtis Compton ccompton@ajc.com
