k610i-phase 2

taken using the same 100w lamp but using a light tent. the color difference between my halogen lamp and fluorescent ceiling lamp is significant. the other walls of the light tent aren't reflecting much light and so the lighting is still harsh despite the scrim effect of the light tent wall i shine the halogen through. i estimate the effective size of the light source to be around the same as the model.

bottom pic is after some photoshopping. photoshop was pretty successful in brightening the image and correcting the color but was unable to rectify the blurryness.

overall conclusions :

- sufficiently bright light very important for good color

- if using more than 1 light source, they should be of the same type to get consistent color

- light source must be very big relative to model for really nice even lighting

- sharp focus is an absolute must

the main killers are probably insufficient light and the inability to focus well on near objects.

the k610i is pretty decent when taking pics of scenery in bright sunlight.
