But what makes Kotor spectacular is the scenario where Kotor was made. Between big and dark mountains (like the name of the country) and in the farest spot of a long bay of light blue waters. The nature and the rich history of Montenegro creates a beautiful landscape.
But Kotor couldn't exist without the walls that protects the city for the many Empires that existed in the Balkans. For the strategic port and the richness of the region Montenegro was really wanted and the strong and broad walls reflects how much they wanted to protect it.
