2016 Corso ( frazione di Fiamignano,Lazio,Italy )

 

Siamo a Corso un paesino dell’alto Lazio a circa 900 m. di altezza. E’ una piccolissima frazione del comune di Fiamignano con un centinaio di residenti. Questo che vedete è lo slargo principale, peraltro posizionato su una ripidissima discesa dove non arrivano auto. Il borgo è tutto quì, ma la caratteristica principale dei residenti è costituita dal fatto che sono una collettività unitissima. Le persone più adulte vivono e lavorano quì,mentre i più giovani o lavorano nelle vicinanze o studiano nelle vicine università di Roma o dell’Aquila. Si conoscono tutti (sono cresciuti insieme)ed appena possono tornano qui e seguitano a vivere un’amicizia veramente particolare. Ogni anno nel mese di Agosto ricorre la festa del Santo Patrono ed in questa piazzetta si scatenano fino a mattina con balli e musica ed una gioia di vivere che, per chi viene da fuori(pochissimi…) ,è veramente palpabile e fuori da ogni schema di una società contemporanea.Questa frazione si trova nella zona chiamata del Cicolano ( nell’Ottocento era zona di confine tra lo Stato Pontificio ed il Regno di Napoli)e fu ricca per 7 anni di episodi di brigantaggio, da non considerare nella accezione negativa del termine.Tutti i paesi del Cicolano hanno “murales” dove vengono rappresentate immagini riferite a quel periodo storico.Quella che vedete nella foto è il ballo della Quadriglia (un antico ballo popolare)che eseguito su quel terreno così ripido rappresenta una difficoltà aggiuntiva. Ho chiamato questa foto “La nuvola” poiché mi piace identificare questo spirito di profonda, sincera e semplice socialità come qualcosa di sognante e poco definibile nel mondo attuale, qualcosa di impalpabile e non strettamente collegato a figure ben precise ma come una “nuvola di collettività” che esiste ancora quì ,ma in via di estinzione in un mondo ricco di “realtà virtuali” tanto decantate ai giorni nostri.

 

 

We are a small town course of Lazio about 900 m. of height. It 'a very small fraction of the town of Fiamignano with a hundred residents. What you see is the main square, however, positioned on a steep descent where there's no car. The village is all here, but the main feature of the residents is the fact that they are a close-knit community. The most adults live and work here, while the younger or working nearby or studying in nearby universities of Rome and Aquila.

They all know (grew up together) and just can return here and they continue to live very special friendship. Every year in the month of August marks the Patron Saints day and in this square are unleashed until morning with music and dancing and a joy of life that, for those coming from outside (very few ...), is really palpable and out of any scheme of a contemporary society. This village is located in an area called Cicolano (in the nineteenth century was the border between the Papal States and the Kingdom of Naples) and was rich for 7 years of episodes of brigandage, not to be considered in the negative sense of the term. All countries have Cicolano "murals" where are shown images related to that period of history. What you see in the picture is the Quadrille dance (an ancient popular dance) that run on such steep terrain that is an additional difficulty. I called this photo "The cloud" because I like to identify this spirit of profound, sincere and simple sociality as something dreamy and slightly definable in today's world, something intangible and not closely linked to precise figures but as a "community cloud "that still exists here, but endangered in the rich world of" virtual reality "much talked about to this day.
