Beulah

This weekend I visited the ViewTube. The building that overlooks the Olympic site.

I was there to join a portrait photography workshop taught by Katherine Green, another of the “Road to 2012” exhibitors at the Portrait Gallery.

We were introduced to the idea that a true portrait of someone can only be captured once they are relaxed around you. You can guess what came next… we were ordered to introduce ourselves to a stranger outside and grab a true portrait of them as they overlooked the Olympic site.

Well, my luck was in! I came across South African (Beulah, above) and Brazilian missionaries who were on a prayer-walk to bless the Olympic site and cast all potential evil thoughts and deeds away from the area, so that London might enjoy a peaceful and fun-filled Games next year. They exuded peace and relaxation.
