With the weather being so dull and grey, what better time to practice this sort of shot. Not really sure what it is, long exposure/minimalist/fine art? If someone could inform me.
This is the second image I've tried this on and it was quite hard work, it also makes me realize my need for grad filters if I'm going to try more of this. This shot probably took close to half an hour to take as I took 3 exposures to blend (no filters) and a test exposure. The last image of this type I tried I was advised by someone to try to blur the horizon a bit, I've tried on this image but I didn't have a clue what I was doing. (any advise on that would be appreciated).
Anyway, this is what I've come up with.
Shot with d3100, 18-55mm kit lens and Haida 10 stop filter.
As always any advise/constructive crit is more than welcomed.
Cheers,
Gary.
Edit: I wouldn't mind your thoughts on the smaller rock, I didn't know if to leave it in to guide you through the shot or get rid as it distracts (which would ruin my title :) ). Cheers
