Old telephone kiosk, King's New Square, Copenhagen, Denmark

An old kiosk and telephone stand from 1913 at the King’s New Square in Copenhagen was built in Baroque Revival style with a copper-clad roof and hand-carved ornamentation.

The kiosks sold magazines and postage stamps, and also delivered letters and parcels. It offered the first public telephonic service in Copenhagen. People only paid for their talk time in the kiosk, avoiding expensive subscription.

Today it houses a small café.
