youthful friendship among the great champion,
Costante Girardengo, and the dangerous bandit,
Sante Pollastri, both from Novi Ligure, Piedmont, Italy.
Costante Girardengo, cyclist, was the first Champion of Italy, winning twice the Giro d'Italia, six times the Milan-Sanremo in 1918, 1921, 1923, 1925, 1926 and 1928, three times the Tour of Lombardy and three times the Tour of Piedmont.

Sante Pollastri has become an "anarchist bandit" and seems to have been unleashed against the forces of the Police for serious injustices and abuses against family and friends. But history and fascism, have hidden the true motivations, so, there is no absolute truthfulness, if not that of the legend handed down ....
The two childhood friends shared the bicycle until life separated them.
The bandit's career ended in Paris.
That day it had to be disputed
