Interrupted Series Branding
Interrupted is Habitat Christian Community's [habitatcc.com] series that explores Acts 2, focusing on God interrupting life to make the Gospel known. The "!" was used to show the feeling of action, while the God + Man + Gospel are all components in the nature of God's divine plan. For a bit of background, Habitat is a new church plant that is made up of young adults & young families and when we partner with a church to brand a sermon series, we carry the look through bulletin shells, powerpoint slides, video intros and any pertinent web images...basically anywhere it will be visually communicated.
Goal: To brand the sermon series on Acts 2 in a way that way interesting and didn't scream the obvious - Pentecost, tongues of fire, a street scene in 1st century Jerusalem.
Interrupted was chosen because it was felt to be the best way to describe how God seemingly interrupts lives with the Gospel. The background scenes communicate the places where people in our context usually find themselves, traffic, retail stores, coffee houses and cubicles.
Direction: The strong, bold font offsets the background images of traffic, a big-box interior scene and other "busy" scenes.
Although this is a completed project, just wanted to throw it into the mix in order to get some feedback from other designers and creatives.
