Sometimes photographs can look very much like an oil painting. This most probably depends on unusual light conditions.

This selection includes some pictures that are only a little bit painterly. But it's a quality to be aspired to.

New River (Palmers Green) with railings. I love reflections on water, it's such a simple thing. The still image looks different to the living subject, it is an abstraction in the real sense.
