2018 Disney Parks Aurora Limited Edition Doll - Disneyland Purchase - Boxed
I bought the newly released Disney Parks Aurora LE 17 inch doll from World of Disney in Downtown Disney, Disneyland today. She was released on Christmas Day. She is a pink version of the blue Disneyland 60th Anniversary Aurora LE doll (which was released in 2015). The design of the doll and the box are essentially the same as the previous doll. Her price is $10 more, at $129.99 versus $119.95. She is part of the new Diamond Castle Collection.
There are various differences between the new and old Disney Parks Aurora dolls besides the color of the outfit. The most significant is the lack of Certificate of Authenticity in the new one. The old one was LE 3000, and had a individually numbered CoA, as well a number stamped on the back of the doll.
There are no rhinestones in the bodice. Instead there are small faux pearls. She is wearing gold heels, versus the silver heels of the blue Aurora. She also has gold crown and necklace with gold gems, with a rose in the center, versus the silver crown and necklace of the 60th Anniversary Aurora.
As with the original Parks Aurora, there is no display stand. There is glitter throughout the skirt and cape, and it does shed quite a bit. The dark pink velvet cape is detachable from the dress, via two small velcro fasteners in the back of her bodice. The organza skirt is quite stiff and allows the doll to free stand, even without a display stand. The white satin underskirt is attached to the outer organza skirt.
