Pocahontas and John Smith Doll Set - Disney Fairytale Doll Collection - Disney Store Purchase - Deboxed - On Display Stand - Portrait Front View

The Pocahontas and John Smith Designer Dolls are now completely deboxed. Here is the empty display stand in which they were originally packaged. The dolls placed back in the stand, in their original positions. However, Pocahontas' hair is much neater than it was originally, and her braids are now visible, being placed in front of her, rather than behind her. Her shawl has also been loosened, so her arms and hands are now in more natural positions. Her feet are now directly below her, and the trim of her skirt is now a bit neater.

Pocahontas has the same body and head as the 2014 Classic Pocahontas doll, but with obvious changes to her face and hair. Her external hinged knee joints are largely hidden by the trim of her dress, and her articulated ankles enable her to stand flat footed.

John Smith has the standard Disney Store prince body, and his satin shirt is sewn to his vest. The faux suede bag can be opened up by undoing the Velcro fasteners. There is a plastic piece inside to keep it full looking, which I left.

Photos of my Limited Edition Pocahontas and John Smith 12'' Designer Doll Set. Second of five releases in the 2014 Disney Fairytale Designer Collection. I purchased them in store on the release day, Tuesday Sept. 30, 2014. They are #1352 of 6000, and cost $129.95. I think these dolls follow the artwork very well, and look very good together. I like the colors and textures of Pocahontas' outfit and accessories much better than the original Designer Pocahontas doll (released in October 2011). I also think her face is prettier and her expression gentler and more natural. John Smith also has a good expression, and doesn't look as bland as most of the other Designer Princes. The couple are presented side by side in the box, so are both very well shown.
