Sad Children

 

Children treasure of this world

born innocent and dear

their vision of life seems clear

 

children some never get hugs

abused and used

nobody offers milk in a cute mug

 

children born into wars

slave soldiers

forever burning scarfs

 

children sad looks

education forbidden

no time to read books

 

children calling their mothers

family meaning has no sense

being hustled from one to others

 

children eyes of wrath

no food on the plate

many starving to death

 

children eyes full of pain

when trampled

all seems in vain

 

children living in horror

of daily life

as they only know sorrow

 

children if only I could

just for one whole day

have the power of God

than I really would

show you the meaning of

freedom and love

 

children forgive me

I am not God

but I really do wish

that each one of you

one day will be dearly

loved and hugged
