STAR Team & Zogg -By Ideal
The Red & Blue Zeroids are with Zeroid 'Zogg" . It is the base for the Red & Blue of course. Red & Blue are from the STAR Team for any who may not know. Came out in 1977- 78
I like the original Zeroids that came out in 1967.
Zogg was the last Zeroid for the original line. Released in 1969.
The first three Zeroids seem fairly common.
But Zogg does not show up for sale very often. In my searching anyway. I guess because of the later release. And it started out only being sold with the Commander Action Set . Then later sold separately.
This Zogg is missing several bits. A spoiler like part on the top of his head. His motor and its' cover. He comes with a laser ball thing he holds. I am fine with that missing.
I just would like the intact basic robot.
Zogg has two little cone things. on top of his base above the treads. And below their hand like parts. Blue has the two. But Red has only one. Zogg has those with what look like two stacked black rubber donuts. With a chromed tip on top of them. This ones' are gone.
But he has his treads !
And the rest of it, is nice and clean. And the chrome is good.
Even has the forearm stickers intact....
So I am happy to get him. To finally get some version of it !
I got it from a toy shop. Out in the wild.
It was likely, still there because it was incomplete ?
But I don't even see beat up ones for sale. So I am happy to get it.
A nice complete Zogg has been a grail collectable since I learned of it. Because of its' STAR Team connection. So this a good stand in for now :)
Also, got this Zem - 21 too. Its' silver is so good.
Compared to the one I have had for yrs. This one has the silver intact much more. I got it at the same toy store Zogg was at. The electroplated silver chrome is so thin on the Zem- 21 to start with. So after 47 years now, it seems to be disappearing on so many of them.....
