Winter on the Hudson River

View of the 1883 lighthouse at Sleepy Hollow (Sleepy Hollow, New York) on a winter afternoon. The lighthouse was erected in 1882-83 and provided support to ships sailing the Hudson River. This lighthouse was formerly known as the Tarrytown Lighthouse or Kingsland Point Lighthouse. It is the only Caisson-style lighthouse on the Hudson River. The Lighthouse is listed in the National Register of Historic Places.—January 16, 2011
